MorK & Mindy

Mork & Mindy is a sitcom aired on ABC from 1978 to 1982. a spin-off of Happy Days and became famous for launching the career of Robin Williams, who played the eccentric alien Mork from Ork.

Mork, an alien from the planet Ork, comes to Earth to study human behavior. He meets Mindy McConnell, a kind and open-minded young woman (played by Pam Dawber), who agrees to let Mork live with her in Boulder, Colorado. The show blends science fiction and comedy as Mork, unfamiliar with human customs, tries to make sense of Earth culture—often with hilarious misunderstandings.

  • Mork’s catchphrases:Nanu Nanu” (a greeting) and “Shazbot” (an Orkan expletive).
  • Mork often wore a red jumpsuit with rainbow suspenders.
